The response on the afro/latin house workouts from Jose Marquez on Basic Fingers has been big since his remix of Celiz Cruz ” Elegua ” back in 2012 and we’re really happy to welcome Jose back. This time with two remixes that take the african rhythms of the originals and work them out into some definite floor stompers. Sassouma Kouyaté "Niani" kicks off the a-side, a track guaranteed to stick in your head for days. This spruced up remix gives the original a hefty dose of extra punsch, just the way we like it. Afel Diallo ”Yelé Kae Ye” on the b-side is Afrobeat sweetness and surprisingly addictive. As with previous Marquez remixes on Basic Fingers this one excels when it comes to drum programming and at the same time Marquez really allows the original elements to shine.
