Basic Fingers is back with their third release. This time we’re giving you two strong remixes from Los Angeles based DJ & producer Jose Marquez. His sound has often been described as a fusion of deep afro-latin soul and percussion dance floor rythms, something showcased on this release. First track, Elegua, is by one of the most influential female figures in the history of Cuban music, La Guarachera de Cuba, çelia Cruz. The remix by Jose is a massive percussion bomb, both deep and spiritual that will move any dance floor, trust us, we’ve tried and tested this with a 110% guaranteed result. The second track is a strong remix of Femi Kuti, oldest son of legendary Fela Kuti. Jose has turned the original, without losing it’s feeling and turned it into a more house oriented track, fans of Osunlade or Louie Vega will definitely want to get their hands on this one.
